The Barnabas Connection has a new Permanent Executive Director. Local resident, Roger B. Quayle, served as Interim Director for the past six months as the group looked to fill the permanent position.
Tracy Sommers has accepted the job. Originally from San Antonio, she most recently is from Midland. She and her husband have three grown children and call themselves “empty nesters.”
Tracy’s experience in non-profits includes serving as the Director of Development for the Alzheimer’s Association, West Texas Chapter and Director of the West Texas Region of the National Kidney Foundation. She is skilled in fund-raising, grant writing and volunteer recruitment.
Tracy starts her new position on Monday, May 14th. Roger will stay on for the transition and training period. He will be greatly missed.
Tracy’s first priority will be to help plan the Back to School Fiesta which is scheduled for early August.
