What does +55 look like today? 55 may mean a discount at a few restaurants and the AARP card in the mail but there is still much to be done and lots of life still to be lived! Many adults are working successfully into their 70’s and beyond. And Seniors are certainly some of the most active travelers, civic volunteers, and contributing members of our society.

For this next phase of life, it is important to have good information about housing; how insurance is changing; available health services; and managing finances. And that research should also include local volunteer opportunities; ways to build community; and fun places to travel and shop. Quality of life comes with good information and good decision making.

The Wimberley Senior Activity Senior, The Barnabas Connection, and the City of Wimberley Community Center are hosting the Wimberley Senior Expo on Friday, February 10 from 10:00-3:00pm at the Wimberley Community Center to have all of this great info in one place. Businesses and local nonprofits will be in Johnson Hall providing information, interactive exhibits and more. Workshop sessions in the Senior Lounge, and Cypress and Blanco rooms will cover health, cooking and technology.

Free and open to the public!
