The Barnabas Connection is interested in facilitating community conversations that increase awareness of the issues and challenges of poverty with the aim of increasing resources and compassion for those in need.
The Barnabas Connection hosted a 4-week discussion on poverty for the Wimberley Community, Creating Pathways Out of Poverty in May, 2011. The discussion brought together community leaders, clergy, service providers, and individuals concerned and interested in this issue. Hopes for the discussion included: laying the groundwork for better communication between local service providers and addressing the issues of sustainability for clients in need.
Education opportunities also include offerings that benefit the clients we are in ministry with.
Every other year the Barnabas Connection publishes a free print resource directory listing numerous local resources to assist families, individuals and the elderly. Comprehensive Resource Directory-2016
The directories are available through the Barnabas Connection and can also be picked up at the Wimberley Village Library.
Future education opportunities may include a Mental Health First Aid Course and Budgeting 101.Contact Barnabas Connection for More Information!
